McHoul's 23 - J&N 16
With outstanding defensive plays and the ability to put several hits together, McHoul's defeated J&N by a score of 23-16. Mike Healy and Dave Lowitz went 4 for 5 with Mike hitting 2 home runs. Additionally, Jim Kirzoncic, Peter Longobardi, Paulie Lastowski and Gary DiMaggio chipped in for three hits each and Lou Rosenberg pounded in 3 RBI's for the win.
In this week’s installment of “We would have won if only…” J&N let a close game get away from them in the 8th inning. It was 14-12 after 7 innings and George Hammer was pitching yet another a gutsy, gritty game but then J&N’s defense fell apart, and it allowed 9 runs in the top of the eighth and was only able to strike back with 4. Tough see-saw battle that saw AG score 2 in the top of the first, Pizza Time came back with a 5 spot in the bottom half of the 1st inning, then 8 lead changes from the 1st to the 8th. AG scored 4 in the top of the 8th after two outs. Pizza Time couldn't push a run across the board in the bottom of the 8th, 21-17 Pizza Time loss.
