Miller's 31 - J&N 12

At Sport Park Sr., Miller's found the bats they were missing in the last two weeks by beating J&N by the score 31 -12. Miller's, who had last week off came in well rested and exploded with 31 runs. Miller's, who was the home team scored in all 7 innings. 5 times they scored 5 runs in an inning. Leading the attack was Joe Yanarella who hit for the cycle; his single went about 300 feet. Jeff Noe went 4/4 with 2 doubles and a triple. Dave Anduze went 4/4 with a 2 double and a triple. Chris Thomas went 3/4 with a home run and a double. Dave Lowitz, Rich Sicardo, Carlos Vasquez, Rich Hill all got 3 hits. The bottom of the order of Joe Kupiec, Dewey, and Carey Wasserberg contributed with 2 hits each. Angel Sblendorio was the winning pitcher and contributed with a double and a triple.

I wish that I could tell you that Miller's limped home bemoaning the whomping that they took from J&N. I also wish for World Peace and our right fielder/short center fielder being mistaken for the second coming of Ozzie Smith. But it just isn’t true. We got our collective butts put through the grinder as the game was all but over, except for the crying, by the sixth. Millers defeated J&N 31-12. Offensive stars for J&N: John Warman had 3/3 2 R, with a double and an RBI. Gerard Haugh also went 3/3 with a R and an RBI. George Hammer went 3/4 with a R and an RBI. Roger Simon (2 RBI) , Dan Diesing (3 RBI’s), Frank Goberish, Stan Silverman, Tim Milholm and Jim Kirzoncic all had 2 hits. Jim hit a long home run and had 2 R and 2 RBI’s. Andy Berger, Russ Gilmore, and Jaime Pagan all had an RBI. We can try again next week.
