Pizza Time was playing with 10 guys, PT had 14 runs by the 4th inning to Michael's 4; the last 4 inning Michael's outscored Pizza Time 8-2, the tale of two halves.  Greg Miller 3-6 2run, 2rbi. Doyle's was led by Rodney Deloatch 6-6, Dan Doyle 5-6, Dan Deising 5-6 with 2 doubles and a home run, and Dan Doyle, Pete Schwarze, Doug McCracken 4 hits apiece. Tom Giordano was the winning pitcher.

Mountain View Ranch 12 - McHoul's 6

For Mountain View Ranch: John Ostuni 2-2 with 2 walks, Lou Rossi, Gary Lasko, and Bill Hanchett each had 3 hits.

In a hard-fought defensive game, Mountain View Ranch defeated McHoul's by a score of 12-6. For McHoul's: Gary DiMaggio went 3 for 3, while Russ Gilmore went 1 for 1 with 3 walks, scoring 2 runs. Phil Chontos, Emil Viola, Tony Dalia (3 RBI's), Paulie Lastowski and Peter Longobardi contributed 2 hits each.

Miller's 23 - J&N 21

At Sports Park Sr., Miller's outscored J&N 23-21. Before the game, both teams took the field and had a moment of silence for Miller's long time manager Bob Crabtree who passed away last week from cancer. In the game it was a battle as both teams were hitting. Miller's was led by Rick Willigan who went 3/4 with a 3-run homer but it was Rick’s glove that patrolled the outfield that kept J&N off the scoreboard. John Warman went 4/4 with a homer, double, walk. Lou (Mr. Consistent) Post going 3/4 and Dan Sopchack going 3/4 with a double. Miller's analytic guy Mike Capra covered the field with his perfectly placed positioning. Royal Dewey Bogardus was the winning pitcher and also got 3 big hits. Miller's has dedicated this season to Bob Crabtree. He will be deeply missed.

J&N came so close, yet its first victory escaped its grasp. The score was tied after 5 innings and then Miller's pulled out to an 8 run lead. J&N scored 6 runs in the top of the eighth, but to no avail. A few more hits at the right time or a few less errors and victory would have been ours! Next time! J&N even had a pregame meeting where to stop the weather from messing with the game schedule, we agreed to begin a fund to pay for a domed stadium. Anyone not named “Oven mitts” would pay a quarter every time he used foul language. So far, we don’t have any money in the fund.

Stars of the  game: George Hammer 3/4 with 3 runs scored and an RBI, Joe DiChiara 5/5 with 3 runs scored and an rbi, Mark Batastoni 5/5 with a double 5 runs scored and an rbi, Steve Savod 3/5 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBI’s, Von Ahouse 4/5 with a triple, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI’s, Stan Silverman 3/4 with a sacrifice, a homerun, a run scored and 4 RBI’s. Everyone had at least 1 hit.
