Pizza Time 31 - TaxBrakes 12

In a game that saw the Great Mike Muffs come back from the IR, Pizza Time was playing on all Cylinders, both on Defense and Offense. Behind the pitching of Mike Muffs and Da' Coach for the last 3 innings, and the defense of Tony Scaduto 3rd, Rick Sierra SS, Mark Batastoni SF, Tom Borell and a combination of Louie Rosenberg and Anthony Navarra at 1st Base, the outfield of Mike Vuozzo LF, Reggie Dolson LC, Freddie Patterson in RC and Mike Rassin right along with Maurice Ragusa, the team's Most Valuable Utility man and Angelo DiGregorio at catching duty and Angelo even coached first base. Coached first base TWICE!! Pizza Time would go on to school in every inning. TaxBrakes was defeated by Pizza Time by a score of 31 to 12. Hitting notables for TaxBrakes were: Pete Longobardi went 4 for 4 single 2 doubles 1 triple and 1 RBI, Donny Black went 2 for 4 single and double, Rick Brettholtz went 2 for 3 2 singles, Joe DiChiara went 2 for 4 2 singles and 3 RBI’s.

Arlington Grill 20 - A&R 6

Arlington Bar and Grill defeats A&R 20 to 6. Great defense and great offense! Mike Brooks led the hit parade with 4 hits along with Mark Joao who also had 4. John McGowan, Tom Mirande, and Rod Whitby all had 3 hits, Rod’s 3 were 2 triples and a home run! Everyone else had at least 1 hit, John McGowan pitched a complete gave victory. 

Today Arlington Grill nuked A&R 20-6. Stats for A&R: Pat Rose 3-3 (1rs1rbi), Mike Healey2-3 (3rbi), Greg Miller 2-3 (1rs1rbi), Steve McGee 2-2, Stan Smilkstein 2-3, Eddie Smilkstein 2-4 (1rs1rbi3B).

Doyle's 14 - McHoul's 7

The battle of the funeral homes went into the 6th inning tied 7-7 but Doyle's scored 7 runs over the last 3 innings to win 14-7. McHoul's had their opportunities in the last 4 innings, twice leaving bases loaded with one out and not scoring.

Flash Prisco was the winning pitcher. Jim Guarnaccio, Jim Willoughby and Pat Towne had 3 hits, Rob McIsaac, John "Tinkle toes" Cacciola, Bill Hild, Tom Hotailling, Flash Prisco, and Scott Babrosky, had 2 hits. 

At Sports Park Jr., Doyle's and McHoul's sweat out an 8-7 score for the first 6 innings, but, in the 7th, and 8th, Doyle's got hot with 6 more runs while McHoul's went stone cold dead.  For McHoul's, Bill Volpe, Kevin Laffin, and for the first time this year, Jim Flood went 3-3. Rodney Deloatch, Tony Dalia, Jack Baxter, and Mike Capra all had 2 hits apiece.
