Arlington Grill 16 - Mountain View Ranch 8

Arlington Grill defeats Mountain View 16 to 8. Everyone on the team had at least 1 hit, most had more. Everyone contributed, a complete team victory. The top hitters: Ralph Bondi, Mike Brooks, John McGowan and Rod Whitby all had 3 hits, one of Rod's was a home run. John McGowan pitched a complete game victory.

Pizza Time 19 - J&N 4

We were on a break! J&N had a bye last week and while our bodies showed up for the game, apparently someone forgot to tell us bring our softball skills back to the field this week. It was a perfect storm. Pizza Time hit, clutch hit, fielded and ran the bases well. J&N did nothing well. Offensive stars for J&N: Dan Diesing hit a 3-run homer, Tom Giordano had an RBI and Stan Silverman went 2/2 with a walk and a run scored. Thaaats all folks.

McHoul's 23 - A&R 13

At Sports Park Sr., McHoul's was able to outlast A&R 23-13.  McHoul's began with a 5 run first, only to have A&R return the favor. After 4 innings A&R was up 9-8.  The second half belonged to McHoul's with a 7 run eighth to seal the deal. McHoul's had a good team effort with runs scored throughout the lineup.  Kevin Laffin and Steve Savod both went 3-3 and a walk. Jack Baxter celebrated his return with 3 hits. Other 3's went to Rodney Deloatch, Tony Dalia, and Joe Karam.  Bill Volpe added two hits, one being a home run. Bill Hanchett, Dave Napolillo and Rick Wetzel added 2 hits with Bill and Rick drawing a walk as well. Even Jim Flood joined in with 2 hits and a walk. Everyone on the team contributed to end the first half of the season on a positive note.

It was close until McHoul's erupted for 7 runs in the top of the 8th to run away from A&R and win 23 to 13.
